- Exterior identifying marks either absent or in nonconformity   with regulations

Equipment
- Lack or insufficient quantity of rescue equipment (lifejackets, liferings,   life belts, etc.)
- Lack of fitting-out and spare equipment
- Lack of or nonconformity with required extinguishers, or having outdated   extinguishers
- Expired or defective signal warning lights
- Lack of security device to cut the ignition or gas in case of operator   ejection or illness
- Lack of documents related to course and signals
- Lack of nautical equipment, instruments, and documents
Behavior
- Excessive speed within the 300-m littoral band
- Speed limit within ports or protected areas not respected
- Hindering a security inspection or survey or providing inaccurate   information
- Infraction of safety regulations
- Excess number of passengers
Nautical Accidents - Rescue
- Not assisting someone in danger
- Refusal to assist after a collision
- Refusal to make one's presence known after a collision
- Failure to report an accident for which one is at fault in order to escape   penal or civil responsibility (hit-and-run accidents)
- Infraction of rules to prevent collisions at sea

Fishing / Harpooning / Waterskiing / Wreckage
- Sale of fish or marine animals caught by sport fishermen
- Fishing (+ unloading, transport, display, etc.) of prohibited   marine products (turtles, conches, etc.), during prohibited months
  (lobsters, etc.)
- Harpooning in off-limit areas, during prohibited times, or in port areas
- Engaging in  harpoon  fishing  without  prior  declaration  to  Affaires 
  Maritimes, without an association card, or without insurance
- Harpoon fishing with air tanks or light sources
- Vessel with 1 skier in tow not having at least 2 people on board
- Waterskiing in controlled areas
- Windsurfing in prohibited areas
- Not reporting wreckage to Affaires Maritimes
- Theft of wreckage
- Possession of stolen wreckage
- Damage to archaeological wreckage sites
